Andrew
Zdunich

Retired in 2006 from the Canadian Army at the rank of
Lieutenant-Colonel, Mr. Zdunich is one of CanadaŐs leading experts in the field
of inter-agency collaboration for public safety and homeland security. With over 20 years of experience in crisis
and consequence management, AndrewŐs impressive military career included key
positions at the field and strategic command levels domestically and in
high-risk areas abroad including Bosnia, Central Africa and Afghanistan.
Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Andrew led the re-engineering
project of CanadaŐs National Defense Command Centre (NDCC) with a mandate to
enhance the Canadian MilitaryŐs emergency response capabilities and interoperability
with other government departments, civil agencies and Allied military forces
including the design of multi-agency emergency response protocols. Appointed as
the first Director of CanadaŐs newly established Joint Command Centre for
military domestic emergency response, Andrew was responsible for the design, build, deployment and daily
operations of Canada CommandŐs Emergency Operations Centre, and guided the
establishment, operating protocols and interagency collaboration of regional
military EOCs across the country. Mr. Zdunich holds a Masters Degree in War
Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada and leads InfusionŐs practice
for developing end-to-end planning and response solutions for customers in the
areas of crisis and consequence management. In this capacity he was
instrumental in conceiving the Joint Emergency Planning and Response System
(JEPRS) – InfusionŐs award-winning and signature product in this area.
Andrew has been a featured presenter at the World Conference on Disaster Management
(2007), Showcase Ontario and the Microsoft Public Safety and Homeland Security
Symposium.
